The Impact of Meteorological Factors on the Yield of Xiangwo Tea in Taiping Town, Xinxing County
Abstract:To provide technical support for estimating the yield of Xiangwo tea and assessing the impact of meteorological conditions, this study used temperature, precipitation, relative humidity, sunshine duration, and Xiangwo tea yield data from Taiping Town, Xinxing County, from 2006 to 2022. It applied mathematical statistics, path analysis, and multiple linear regression equations to screen out key meteorological factors affecting tea yield and establish a prediction model for Xiangwo tea yield. The results showed that higher (lower) average temperatures in April were beneficial (detrimental) to the growth of spring tea and the improvement of spring tea yield; higher (lower) relative humidity in June to August was beneficial (detrimental) to the growth of summer tea and the improvement of summer tea yield; more (less) rainfall and less (more) sunshine duration in September to November were beneficial (detrimental) to the growth of autumn tea and the improvement of autumn tea yield. At the same time, an excessive (insufficient) number of days with temperatures ≥35°C throughout the year was also detrimental (beneficial) to tea growth. The established meteorological yield fitting model for Xiangwo tea using a multiple linear regression equation achieved an accuracy rate of over 93%.
