Assessment of Climate Carrying Capacity and Obstacle Factor Analysis in Chengde City
Abstract:In order to study the interaction mechanism between economic and social development and climate change in Chengde City, an evaluation index system for climate carrying capacity was established based on two aspects and four dimensions: natural climate influencing factors (natural climate capacity, pressure from extreme climate events) and human-induced influencing factors (urban climate pressure, urban coordinated development capacity). The obstacle degree model was used to analyze the human-induced influencing factors. The results show that from 2010 to 2021, the natural climate capacity of Chengde City remained relatively stable, while the pressure from extreme climate events showed an upward trend. Urban climate pressure and urban coordinated development level showed a fluctuating upward trend, and the climate carrying capacity first increased and then significantly declined. In terms of natural climate influencing factors, extreme climate events are the main threat factor for local climate stability. In terms of human-induced influencing factors, expenditures on marine meteorology and other natural resources, as well as the proportion of the tertiary industry, are the main obstacle factors.
