Design and Application of a Meteorological Data Visualization System
Abstract:In order to further improve meteorological service levels, based on Android smart TVs and integrating GIS, digital media, and data visualization technologies, a new generation of meteorological information system was developed. This system integrates intelligent information reception, comprehensive display, and remote monitoring. It consists of five parts: operation and maintenance platform, data acquisition module, back-end management server, GIS geographic information module, and multimedia terminal. The system collects and processes meteorological data through cloud servers, adopts a unified shared interface and synchronization mechanism, breaking down the barriers that prevent external departments and the public from directly accessing internal meteorological network data. The technical key points and innovations of this system are reflected in using the pre-set m_code numbering on terminals as identification to achieve automatic data updates and group management; using HTML5 and AJAX technology for visual editing to achieve a 'what you see is what you get' experience in the background; using GIS technology to intuitively display meteorological disaster warnings in different areas, water level data from main river hydrological stations, and rainfall distribution; deploying an automatic station data anomaly detection tool to ensure the efficiency and reliability of meteorological data, forming a complete technical system from the generation, processing to application of meteorological data.
