Analysis of the Tourism Meteorological Index at Shunde Evergrande Happy Coast PLUS
Abstract：In order to provide reference for tourists to reasonably arrange their travel time and for the scenic spot to effectively allocate human resources and materials, this study analyzed the daily meteorological station data from the Shunde District Government Meteorological Observation Station from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2024, along with the daily number of visitors to Shunde Evergrande Happy Coast PLUS. The results showed that: (1) the number of visitors to the park is positively correlated with the length of the holiday, and the number of visitors in spring is higher than that in summer and autumn-winter. (2) Relative humidity, average wind speed, and temperature have a good correlation with the number of visitors. (3) By selecting relative humidity, daily average temperature, daily rainfall, maximum wind speed, and the highest or lowest temperature, a tourism meteorological index for the scenic spot was established using a scoring method. Based on the forecast results, the tourism index was quantitatively calculated to obtain corresponding travel recommendations.
