Climate Characteristics and Impact Review of Guangdong Province in May-June 2025
Abstract：In May-June 2025, the temperature, precipitation, and sunshine in Guangdong Province were normal. The first typhoon 'Butterfly' made landfall in Zhanjiang, causing severe wind and rain impacts. During May-June, Guangdong experienced 9 periods of strong precipitation, 2 large-scale high-temperature processes, and 2 cold air processes. Frequent heavy rainfall had serious impacts on agriculture, people's livelihood, transportation, and power supply. Among them, western and northern Guangdong suffered serious disasters due to continuous heavy rainfall and upstream flood impacts.
