Analysis and Evaluation of Climate Health Resources in Guangdong Province
Abstract:Based on daily observation data from 86 meteorological stations in Guangdong Province from 1991 to 2020, and ecological environment condition index data from 121 districts and counties in Guangdong Province from 2013 to 2020, as well as relevant group and industry standards, this study selected indicators such as suitable temperature days, suitable precipitation days, human comfort meteorological index, and ecological environment condition index to establish a climate health resource evaluation model. Using GIS technology, the richness and types of Guangdong's climate health resources were analyzed and evaluated. The results show that the average annual suitable temperature days in the province from 1991 to 2020 was 152.7 days, increasing at a rate of 0.3 days per 10 years, with high-value areas mainly distributed in coastal and eastern Guangdong regions. The average annual suitable precipitation days was 97.7 days, increasing at a rate of 3.7 days per 10 years, with the highest values in Shaoguan and northern Qingyuan. In the average annual human comfort meteorological index, the number of days with comfort level or above was 236.1 days, decreasing at a rate of 0.5 days per 10 years, with high-value areas mainly distributed in coastal and eastern Guangdong regions. The richness of Guangdong's climate health resources can be divided into four categories: very rich areas, rich areas, and general areas, accounting for 35.3%, 62.2%, and 2.5% of the total provincial area, respectively. Areas such as eastern Guangdong, Maoming, Yangjiang, Jiangmen, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Qingyuan have the most abundant climate health resources. Some areas in northern Guangdong (Lechang, Renhua, Nanxiong, Lian'nan, Lianzhou, Lianshan, Shaoguan, Shixing) have a 'summer cooling' type of climate health resources, while other regions are classified as 'winter comfort' type.
