Spatiotemporal Variation Characteristics of High Temperature Heat Damage in Tea in Meizhou City
Abstract:Based on the temperature data from 7 national meteorological stations in Meizhou City from 1965 to 2023, this study used methods such as linear trend analysis and wavelet analysis to investigate the spatiotemporal variation characteristics of high temperature heat damage in tea. The results showed that the average annual number of high temperature heat damage events in Meizhou City was 13.7, with a significant increasing trend at a rate of 0.21 times per year; the 2010s were the period with the most tea high temperature heat damage events. July and August were the peak periods, accounting for about 75.1% of the total number of high temperature heat damage events in tea. The number of high temperature heat damage events showed quasi-periodic oscillations with cycles of 5-7, 15, and 28 years. Spatially, the number of high temperature heat damage events decreased from north to south, with Dapu County, northern parts of Meixian District, Meijiang District, and Jiaoling County being the high-risk areas. The high-value zones of the increase rate of high temperature heat damage events were concentrated in Fengshun County and Jiaoling County.
