Abstract："Yiyou 8605"is a new three-line hybrid rice variety bred by Yibin Academy of Agricultural Sciences by combining Yihui 8605,a self-bred high-quality restorer line,and Yixiang 1 A,a self-bred high-quality sterile line.It was approved by Sichuan Provincial Crop Variety Certification Committee in 2022(Approval Number:Chuanshendao 20222022).This variety has the characteristics of high yield(5.86％increase compared with CK in production test),wide adaptability(67％and 89％increase point rates in two-years regional test,respectively),and good stable yield(1.46％and 5.01％increase in two-years regional test,respectively).Moreover,the quality of rice reached the level 2 standard of NY/T 593-2013"Quality of Edible Rice Varieties"in the agricultural industry standard.This paper introduced the breeding process,the variety characteristics,the high-yield cultivation technology and the key points of seed production technology of"Yiyou 8605".
