Abstract：This paper summarized recent research progress in using transgenic technology to enhance rice resistance to insects, disea-ses, and stresses;and to improve rice quality and plant types, and so on. Furthermore, it pointed out the problems occurring in cur-rent research of transgenic rice and stated clearly the developmental direction of this research in the future.
