Abstract：The drought - resistant gene of plant is a kind of protective mechanism that it can reduce or avoid stress damage when the plant is in drought tolerance. The article reviewed types , structures, and functions of the drought - resistant gene of barely and its in- ductions and expressions. In addition, it sums up applications of breeding engineering about drought - resistant gene of barely, in or- der to provide a theory basis on genetic improvement in stress resistance of barely.
